Yes, not very reputable and great to hear to hear. Couldn't be happier. Just hope it isn't one of those, deny till the day it happens. But I believe them and will plan and play accordingly.
Thanks so much for posting.
Again, great to hear and glad that is clear and 100% and can put any questions of the longevity of LG for eq2 to rest. Not that I will be using it much, looking forward to something new. EQ2 is kind of dead from a sellers view. Can still make subscription fees, until this new expansion wears off.

Stab, if this rumor was really true and the contract was being cancelled, do you think Smed would be keynote speaking at a LG hosted event at GDC next week?

Also, keep an eye out for a press release or two on what we have been working on with SOE for the past few months. It's not exchange related, but will show you where LG and SOE are heading.

Ohh yeah I know-
I saw him speaking at the LG hosted event. It just looks like the model of player to player is being treated like the red headed stepchild.
From everything I see, it looks like it is all going to station cash, direct company to player etc.
Hey, if that is what they think will make the most money, great.. they are wrong though. The best is a combination of direct and player to player.
Anyways, again thanks so much... glad to hear LG for EQ2 will be around a long time. Any time I can make sub fees I will be playing :) when that stops so do the subscriptions.

I disagree Stab, I think that company to player makes the loads more. Just think SOE is only getting what a 5 to 7% cut of the sales. Station cash they get it all.
Gamers are getting very used to the station cash type mentality and will be more and more comfortable when they decide to sell really good items that can be created from thin air.

The company is definitely making more on the direct sales like station cash, but there are only so many things that you can sell in that fashion without destroying the game. If all raid gear for example could be purchased with Station Cash the entire raiding community would leave.
LiveGamer is filling a gap that has existed as long as MMO's and is now supposedly a multi billion dollar industry. There will always be value in both of these venues I think. If you don't have a system in place like the exchange you simply give away 100% of that revenue.

Ya unfortunetly no big games are jumping onto livegamer. It's so frustrating, i'm bored with EQ2, i'm playing Fallen Earth now, and the devs there are very anti RMT, such a great game and now i'm risking my account buying and selling. If I get banned i'm not coming back because when you put hundreds of hours into a toon it just aint worth it.
What games do you guys have coming up Belleaj?
